-- graphics and artwork

A lot of questions arise in this area so we have devoted this entire page to be clear on what types of artwork can be printed and what cannot.

For the most part, we can use ANY picture or artwork you have either hand-drawn or have stored on your computer.  Some basic guidelines are listed below.  We have broken these down into sections to make it easier.  There is a lot of useful information on this page so please read carefully.

For Beginners with no knowledge of computer graphics:

For those of you who know absolutely nothing about graphics and file formats, no worries, we can help.  Simply contact us with what you would like to print or ideas you have and we can walk you through the entire process.

For Intermediate knowledge of computer graphics:

-- files may be in .jpeg, .gif, or .bmp  format --  .AI OR .EPS ARE BEST (Adobe Illustrator)
-- Adobe Illustrator is the program we use for almost all graphics and text
-- all files must have a minimum resolution of 300dpi.

-- We can vectorize any image you have and will be happy to work with any image format you have.  Basically use Adobe Illustrator, if you can't please let us know ahead of time we will work it out.

-- we will color separate any image you give us, so if you have more than one color, do not worry.  Our printing press is capable of 6 color printing.  This exceeds the needs of 99% of our customers on any given print for the plastisol inks we are currently using.

For Advanced knowledge of computer graphics:

-- You may use the guidelines above, as well as color separate the image yourself into layers.  Please be sure you are able to do this properly.  If it is not done to our specifications we will have to spend time getting it ready anyway.  Don't hesitate to contact us first before giving us the final document.

For those of you that have a drawing:

-- If you have a drawing of something you would like printed, that is fine.  Our graphics team can scan and edit your drawing into a printer friendly version of your design.  Once you give the approval we will then move on to the next step.

For those of you that have an image that you saved from the internet:

-- If you have an image saved on your computer, that is fine, as long as there are no copyright issues with what you would like printed, we will be happy to take the image and get it print ready for you.
